Kellie Potter, 59, of Amarillo passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Canyon Country Freewill Baptist Church, 2600 FM 3331 Canyon, Texas. Graveside Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Buffalo Cemetery near Sayre, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Kellie was born September 21, 1958 in Hamlin, Texas to Charles and Ina McDowell. Kellie graduated Floydada High School before attending West Texas State University and received her Associate’s Degree from Trinity Fellowship. She married Tim Potter on November 21, 1998 in Amarillo. Kellie worked as a Phlebotomist for 40 years at Panhandle Surgical Hospital, Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic and Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital (BSA). Kellie’s hobbies included fishing, gardening and spending time outdoors. She loved spending time with her family and crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. The love of her family was everything to Kellie along with her love for Jesus. Kellie would share her faith and love of Jesus with everybody. She was a faithful member of Canyon Country Freewill Baptist Church. Kellie will be remembered as a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister and “mamaw” and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kellie is survived by parents, Charles and Ina McDowell; husband, Tim Potter; daughters, Reagan Mones and husband Joe and Chrystal Cunningham and husband James; step-sons, David Potter and wife Stephanie and T.J. Potter and wife Sadie; brothers, Rickey McDowell and wife Elaine, Andy McDowell and wife Brenda and Kerry McDowell; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Tomas, Juliana, Eli, Josiah, Violet, Stephen, Brandon, Amy, Tyler, Macie, Jace, Abbie, Briyana, Dax, and one on the way and a great-grandchild, Micah.
