For over 20 years, Acie and I have been golf buddies. As I came over time to know him, I found him to be a remarkable man. He never talked himself up or let on that he had made and was when I knew him serving people of all walks of life in so many different ways. First and foremost, he served his God as he walked in the footsteps of his savior, Jesus Christ. For all of his accomplishments, he was a humble man who allowed his actions to speak rather than words. He had great forbearance and courage, a wonderful family man, a true friend, an servant of God's people. To his close family and friends, I express my deep condolences and prayers as they mourn their loss and celebrate Acie's life and body of work.

To all his family my deepest sympathies go out on the death of my dear cousin Acie. My memories of Acie, Robert, Margie, Uncle Smiley and Aunt Vera are fond and recall days when your family took care of me when I was in Roswell as a youth. Love to all of you. Henry

Dear girls. It certainly was our honor and pleasure to be next door neighbors of all of you on Fulkerson Drive in Roswell, until SPS moved them to Amarillo. Good neighbors to say the least. And, with his deep roots in Roswell, he did many good things for the people there. I see from his obituary, he did the same in Amarillo. My only regret is that I never contacted him after we moved to Canyon. Both Amy and Steven, our oldest and youngest live here and we moved to be closer to them.

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your father.

I was saddened to learn about Acie. I have fond memories of him from First Baptist Church Roswell. I was so happy to visit with him the last time he was in Roswell. My mother thought the world of him as well. So many people were touched by this Godly man. May God bring comfort and encouragement to the family at this difficult time.
